Celebration! Cinema Seat Remodel

Lansing, MICelebration! Cinemas is the largest provider of cinematic entertainment in West Michigan, and while that’s quite an accomplishment, the theater group wanted to have their brand be synonymous with another attribute as well—comfort. In October, 2014 they hired CD Barnes to manage the seating upgrades at their Lansing location. Having partnered with Celebration! Cinema on seven previous occasions, the Loeks group relies on CD Barnes Construction for all of their construction needs.
Their Lansing facility has one IMAX theater, one THX theater and eighteen additional theater rooms, all of which received seating upgrades. The schedule was successfully phased for minimum disruption to holiday traffic; the first three theater room renovations were completed prior to Thanksgiving, two additional theater room renovations between Thanksgiving and Christmas and the balance after the New Year. Upgrades included electrical work, new platforms, flooring, paint and handrails—all designed to enhance the new seating and customer viewing experience.
