Westmont, Illinois, November 11, 2014 — CD Barnes Construction is pleased to announce that they have been selected by Bria Health Services and Westmont Real Estate, LLC, owners of Westmont Nursing and Rehabilitation as their Construction Manager for a multi-phase project in Westmont, Illinois.

CD Barnes Construction has contracted with Phoenix Builders, Ltd in Rolling Meadows, Illinois for this joint venture opportunity. Phoenix Builders is an ABC Strategic Alliance Partner of CD Barnes Construction. The proximity of the Phoenix Builders offices to Westmont Nursing will be advantageous to the prosperous on-site management of the project. By joint venturing, CD Barnes and Phoenix are able to combine their knowledge and experience for the successful completion of this challenging project.

The roughly $8,000,000 Westmont Nursing project will consist of approximately 15,500 square feet of renovations. The addition is located on the south end of the property and is attached to the existing facility accessible by corridors on each of the two floors.

The work consists of a two-story addition with a therapy pool. The first floor is 10,318 SF, and has a slab-on-grade floor. It will consist of common areas, offices, reception, activity room, therapy pool, elevator and simulated kitchen. The second floor is 5,100 SF. It also has a concrete floor, and will consist of open activity rooms, elevator and two ADA restrooms. The structure is constructed with structural steel, concrete and masonry.

Work began on October 13, 2014 and is scheduled to be completed by November 7, 2015.

All proper steps will be taken to ensure that resident care is not disturbed during the course of this project. CD Barnes Construction is working closely with Westmont Nursing and Rehabilitation to ensure the safety, security and uninterrupted quality of life is maintained for residents, staff and visitors.
