Grand Rapids, Michigan, August 16, 2022 – A new 408-unit apartment community called Rivertown Commons, is currently under development at 4612 Ivanrest Avenue in Grandville, Michigan. Conveniently located just south of the Target on 44th Street, the project site was formerly a greenhouse operation and is 30 acres in total. Much of the greenhouse infrastructure was salvaged, relocated, and reused.
The new community consists of 12, three-story apartment buildings, a centralized clubhouse, multiple outdoor amenity spaces including a dog park, and both attached and detached garages. The community amenities include a pet wash station, fitness center and yoga studio, pool, sundeck, grilling pavilion, outdoor fire pits, clubroom, game room, and a work from home studio. Functional courtyards between buildings will anchor social gatherings for residents. Incorporating the existing wetlands around the community are a priority for the development and once completed, 55% of the site will be green space.
The 408 units will be comprised of a variety of one, two, and three bedroom floorplans with modern finishes and smart home technology.
Rivertown Commons will be community and people focused. The location offers high walkability and biking access to numerous retailers, restaurants, and major employers.
Grandville Mayor, Steve Maas spoke positively about the development, “I am really excited about this project, Rivertown Commons, that is under development in Grandville. Kirt Ojala with CD Barnes Construction, who has been working on the development, said “We worked closely with the City of Grandville to determine the best use for the land and Trilogy Real Estate Group helped complete a great design with Ghafari. This will be an excellent addition to the community.”
The developer for the project is Chicago-based, Trilogy Real Estate Group. Their affiliated and award-winning property management company, Trilogy Residential Management, will be managing the community once completed. Grand Rapids-based, CD Barnes Construction, Nederveld, and Ghafari Associates are the construction managers, civil engineers and architectural firm, respectively.
