Grand Rapids, Michigan, September 14, 2018 – A new residential development project featuring townhome-style apartments is underway on the Northeast side of Grand Rapids. Located at 1300 3 Mile Road NE, the mostly vacant six-acre property will soon be the new home to thirteen two-story buildings, ranging from two to six units per building, for a total of 56 units. Appropriately named, the community will be called The Villages at Thirteen Hundred. The homes will consist of one, two, and three-bedroom units featuring open floor plans that include 1,040 – 1,501 square feet of living space. Finishes for each unit include granite countertops, white shaker cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, tiled backsplashes, bathrooms for each bedroom, walk-in closets, full size in-unit washer/dryer, private attached garages, private entries, and a private patio/balcony. Community shared amenities will consist of a unique common outdoor gathering area and a dog park.

The Design/Build project is being constructed by Grand Rapids-based CD Barnes Construction and Lott3Metz Architecture. With sitework scheduled to start in the next few weeks, the development is slated to finish in the beginning of 2020. A public groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled to kick-off the community development project on Monday, September 24th at 11 am at the site location.
