Cedar Springs Wastewater Treatment Plant

Location

Cedar Springs, MI

The City of Cedar Springs chose CD Barnes to construct their new wastewater treatment plant. The plant and disposal field can handle an average daily flow of 1.2 million gallons per day of wastewater and it peaks at 2.5 million gallons per day.

The treatment process produces a clean water effluent with acceptable quality for groundwater discharge via infiltration from the disposal field. This method is known as the sequencing batch reactor process. CD Barnes met Cedar Springs’ goal by constructing this system to offer the maximum operational flexibility and process control while still being cost effective.
