Grand Rapids, Michigan, April 19, 2019 – CD Barnes Construction awarded Alto-based Mokma Excavating with their quarterly Key To Our Success Award, expressing their appreciation to the excavator for their willingness to go above and beyond normal expectations on the Legacies Assisted Living Project. CD Barnes’ Project Manager, Chris Westover selected the contractor for several reasons. “Mokma Excavating was instrumental in keeping the Legacies project on schedule. They arrived on the days we needed them with the required equipment to complete their work in a timely manner,” explained Chris. He also noted their time management skills, specifically when it came time for testing. Mokma Excavating is a two-man operation. Owner, Wayne Mokma and his son, Keenan Mokma are the contractor’s only employees. Chris was blown away by how much work the two-man crew completed in such a short amount of time. CD Barnes Construction presented Mokma Excavating with the award at an appreciation lunch on Thursday.
