Grand Rapids, Michigan, June 8th, 2016 – Todd Oosting, Executive Vice President of CD Barnes Construction, announced that they have once again been selected by the Milestones Child Development Center to complete construction of a new building for the childcare’s Cascade location. The Grand Rapids based contractor is in the process of building a new 7,000 square foot building next to the center’s current location at 4533 Cascade Road Southeast.

The Milestones Child Development Center will occupy approximately 5,000 square feet of the new building, providing them with the much-needed space to accommodate the growing number of enrolled children. The new building will add traditional classroom space, offices, restrooms, a break room, and an “outdoor” classroom. The “outdoor” classroom concept features an abundance of windows and an overhead door on the exterior wall, giving the children the look and feel of being outdoors while being inside the classroom.

The remaining 2,000 square feet of the new building will become the future home of the offices for Secure Education Consultants, a group of former Secret Service agents who specialize in emergency preparedness and critical response training for schools and businesses alike.
