Grand Rapids, Michigan, July 14, 2021 – Madsen Concrete, out of Grand Rapids, Michigan has won CD Barnes Construction’s Key To Our Success Award for their work on the Skymint provisioning center in Big Rapids. The Key To Our Success Award program started five years ago at CD Barnes to show appreciation for contractors who exemplify excellence in performance, quality, and communication on their projects. CD Barnes’ Site Superintendent for the Skymint project, Pete Heinen, is the one who selected Madsen Concrete for the award.  Pete noted Madsen’s work ethic and ability to adapt to changes on short notice. He explained that at the beginning of the Skymint project, an unforeseen existing condition was discovered during demolition and Madsen Concrete came up with a solution that had zero impact on the project budget and schedule. Pete concluded, Madsen Concrete’s professionalism and problem-solving ideas were paramount in choosing the company for the distinguished award.
