JARS Cannabis Adding Two New Locations in West Michigan

Grand Rapids, Michigan, October 19, 2021 – CD Barnes Construction is excited to announce that their first successful partnership with JARS Cannabis has led to additional projects for the dispensary retailer. JARS’ first West Michigan location, located on Alpine Avenue in Grand Rapids, was completed by CD Barnes Construction just a few months ago. The project went so well that the cannabis retailer has hired CD Barnes again to complete two additional locations for them: one in Saugatuck and one in Muskegon.

The Saugatuck location, at 2790 Blue Star Highway, was the former home of The Amble Inn. Select demolition has already begun on the 2,325 square foot building. The existing exterior log will remain while the interior will be completely revamped to match JARS’ branding. Interior finishes will feature ceramic tile, carpet, wainscoting, drop ceilings, hollow metal doors and frames, and customized millwork. The dispensary will include a patient waiting area, reception area, salesfloor, office, restrooms, employee break area, storage areas, and utility/mechanical rooms.

The second project in Muskegon is located at 1801 Peck Street. Prior to JARS purchasing the building, it was vacant for several years. Selective demolition on the 1,434 square foot building is currently underway. Included in the Muskegon JARS location will be a patient waiting area, reception area, salesfloor, office, and restrooms.

Just as JARS is committed to providing the best quality cannabis, with a wide variety of options at prices people can afford, CD Barnes Construction is committed to providing their clients with the best quality construction, staying on-budget, on-schedule, and communicating with them every step of the way. The JARS Cannabis and CD Barnes Teams are excited to revitalize these properties into something both communities can be proud of.
