Grand Rapids, Michigan, March 20, 2014 — Todd Oosting, Executive Vice President of CD Barnes Construction announced today that the company has been selected as the General Contractor for the construction of the newest Fresenius Medical Care location in Grand Rapids. Fresenius is the largest integrated provider of products and services for individuals undergoing dialysis due to chronic kidney failure and CD Barnes Construction is pleased to be partnering on this project with them. “Fresenius Medical Care has an outstanding reputation for quality patient care. We look forward to providing them with a building in which to provide their life-saving services,” shared Todd Oosting.
The project consists of renovating about 9,300 square feet of space at the corner of Callander Drive and 43rd Street in Grand Rapids. The Center will consist of sixteen dialysis stations, three private treatment rooms, office space, a staff lounge and locker area, nurse’s station and conference room. Construction of the project will take about three months, with the center scheduled to begin seeing patients in August of this year.
