Wimsatt Building Materials

CD Barnes Construction was chosen by Wimsatt Building Materials to build their new location in Wyoming, Michigan. Wimsatt was a new client for our company and we were excited to provide them with a quality building in which to grow their clientele.

The project consisted of three parts; first, demolition and renovations to the existing 31,377 SF building. The remodeled facility now features a show room, offices, conference room, break room, restrooms and heated warehouse for storage. The second phase was the construction of a new 24,000 SF cold storage warehouse. The third phase of the project involved significant improvements to the site; including new paving, landscaping, fencing and gates.

The Wimsatt project started in February and opened for business by the end of May. The project brought along its share of challenges with the late frost and heavy snow, but our team handled those challenges gracefully and completed the project to the owner’s satisfaction.
