Grand Rapids, Michigan, February 17, 2014 — CD Barnes Construction’s Executive Vice President Todd Oosting announced today that the company has again been chosen by Milestones Child Development Center to build a school aged childcare building at their Belmont location.

“CD Barnes is honored to once more be selected by the owners of Milestones Child Development Centers for this expansion project,” acknowledged Todd Oosting.  He went  on to say, “Milestones has been a loyal client for our company and we are excited to provide them with another quality building.”

This project will be a wood-framed, asphalt-shingled, slab-on-grade project. The new building will have 2,446 square feet of space consisting of an office, an 850 SF traditional classroom, three bathrooms and an 850 SF “outdoor” classroom. The “outdoor” classroom concept has windows on three sides of the room and two overhead doors on the fourth wall. This concept gives the look and feel that the children are outdoors while being inside the classroom. Exterior finishes will match the existing building.
